  4. Preventing cross-contamination by washing hands
  5. Following food safety programs
  6. Storing food safety
  7. Preparing food safely
  8. Working with high-risk foods
  9. Providing safe single-use items
  10. Maintaining a clean environment
  11. Disposing of food safely

The purpose of this course is to meet the requirements of a Food Safety Supervisor

  • The enrolment form must be signed by a parent / guardian, and
  • Form will be provided

This course is made up of theory-based Knowledge Quizzes and Practical Assessment.

  • You will have access to your course online
  • You will complete your Knowledge Quiz online
  • You will film yourself completing short Practical Skills in the workplace and upload them to the online course.

You will need:

  1. To be currently employed in a Food Business
  2. A computer, tablet or smart phone
  3. Internet connection
  4. Access to your workplace
  5. A devise to take video recording ie smart phone

This is course contains two (2) units of competence:

  1. SITXFSA005 – Use Hygienic Practices for Food Safety
  2. SITXFSA006 – Participate in Safe Food Handling Practices
