Atul Dhanvate

director & senior trainer

Atul is an expert in food safety & quality management systems used in Australia and internationally. He is endorsed as a Food Safety Auditor by Exemplar Global and is a certified auditor performance and competency assessor for other professional auditors and food safety inspectors.

He has studied Food Technology, Advanced Food Safety Management and Food Nutrition. He has post graduate Diplomas in Agriculture and in Quality Auditing, He is a qualified trainer and assessor.

As an approved third-party regulatory auditor with the NSW Food Authority, Atul is approved to conduct audits for the Vulnerable Population (VP Scheme) and has been endorsed to audit high risk facilities (Cook Chill & CPUs). Atul has conducted audits on small, medium, and large operations.

For over 20 years, Atul has worked for & with the major players in the food retail, food processing, primary processing & the hospitality industry and now brings this expertise to training.

Belinda Wilson-Chartres

DIRECTOR & TRAINING MANAGER

Belinda Wilson-Chartres has over 25 years’ experience in the fresh food industry with previous roles in management, marketing, operations, and quality assurance along with providing technical and auditing expertise to local and international certification bodies.

Belinda is the Director of Fresh Business Directions, specialising in fresh produce compliance consulting and Fresh Business Training, a registered training organisation specialising in food safety and quality training. Belinda holds a Bachelor of Management (International Marketing), a Bachelor of Business (Operations Management and Quality Assurance), and further qualifications in Food Safety and Quality Management, Food Technology and Nutrition.

Belinda has contributed to many committees, strategy and advisory groups for not-for-profits, businesses, schools, and local and state government. She is an active member of the Technical Advisory Group for HARPS and is a board member of the Fresh Produce Safety Centre. An industry ambassador, Belinda is passionate about the fresh produce industry.

MEET THE SUPPORT TEAM

Andrew Manny

Andrew holds a Bachelor of Science (Medical Science) from UTS. He is completing his Masters in Health Science (Occupational Health and Safety) and holds a Cert IV in WHS. Andrew is familiar with various food safety schemes and standards including HACCP and Quality Management Systems for Food Safety.

Jenny

Jenny is a Support Officer and holds a Bachelor of Science (Food Science) from UNSW. She has acted as a Food Safety Supervisor for a number of years during her time in the hospitality industry and is now looking forward to working with food processors and producers.

Jane Bell

Jane Bell is our Curriculum Developer and eLearning specialist. She is also a trainer, assessor, and teacher. Jane has a Bachelor of Applied Science and a Bachelor of Education. She has many years’ experience working in and on RTO’s.

Kate Lewis

Kate Lewis is a company advisor assisting with industry consultation and specialist training content in microbiology. Kate is the Director of MicroPoint Laboratories and runs a successful consulting business in the food industry.

McKillop

Andrew is National Quality Manager at The Avolution, a horticultural marketing company specialising in the marketing of avocados to the Australian domestic and Southeast Asian export markets.

Andrew has over 20 years’ experience in horticultural marketing, business and operational management, grower relations and export. He’s worked across a large range of crops, including avocados, mangoes, citrus, cucumbers, and tomatoes, to name a few.

His previous experience includes national account management for the likes of Coles, Woolworths, Costco, and foodservice operators. During his career, he’s developed a strong, practical understanding of compliance requirements, particularly around quality management and ethical sourcing. Andrew is also qualified to provide certified training in quality management systems for the horticultural industry including HACCP and Freshcare.

Paul
Palmer

SA

Paul Palmer is the Director of Palmer Produce Management. The business has specialised in food safety and environmental management systems in the fruit and vegetable industry for the past 15 years.  The business offers consulting and training throughout South Australia and nationally.

Paul is a Freshcare trainer and registered HACCP facilitator with Exemplar Global along with being a SQF consultant. Paul has vast experience across the fresh produce supply chain having worked in in the family market garden, packing shed and in the Adelaide Produce Markets for many years.

Paul also has a background in teaching and worked in education at the start of his career.

JOEL
DINSDALE

WA

Joel Dinsdale is the director of AGROEN Services. The business specialises in food safety training, environmental management systems and sampling in agriculture. The business offers training and consults throughout WA and nationally.

Joel has worked in horticulture across many different crops fruit and vegetable crops. This includes activities in many of the major growing regions throughout Australia. He is a registered Freshcare Trainer, a Registered GlobalG.A.P. Farm Assurer and a beekeeper.

He is passionate about food safety and believes that a robust food safety system and culture are key pillars that horticulture businesses simply must have to ensure longevity in the industry.’
